A week of breakfast ideas
Breakfast - the most important meal of the day, but not always the easiest or most exciting. Today I thought I'd share our weekly breakfast meal plan. We don't have cereal in our house - partially because of gluten content, the other because of sugar (although I make up for the sugar with the amount of chocolate I eat - whoops). Over time we have found breakfast ideas that we enjoy - and we've stuck to them. I've been lucky this year because the boy's Kindy serves their breakfast on the 3 days they attend - but that will all change in a fortnight when Cruz is on school holidays with me and then when he starts Prep next year.
Our plan looks like this:
Monday - Porridge (done in 7 minutes in the Thermomix while I keep getting ready for work) served with bananas and strawberries.
Tuesday - Poached eggs (in TMX) on toast.
Wednesday - Green Smoothies.
Thursday - Coconut yoghurt and granola.
Friday - Toast with ricotta, banana and cinnamon.
Saturday - Daddy's Breakfast special - normally bacon, scrambled eggs, spinach, tomato, avocado and toast.
Sunday - Coconut pancakes with banana and blueberries (pictured).
What do you enjoy for breakfast? Do you have a breakfast idea you would recommend?
