New additions to the kitchen
On a recent trip to Brisbane I picked up a few goodies for our kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of our home. I try to make it fun (and pretty) to be in because let's face it - I spend a lot of time in here. After being in our brown kitchen for years it is still such a novelty to be in a light, white and bright kitchen. Our plan is to add a skylight into the room - but that will take time.
Here are some things I am loving in the kitchen.
Seeing our new clock while I am loading the dishwasher is such a novelty. I found the same clock in navy over at Oz design furniture. This is quite a lot more than I paid for mine, but they are offering 25% off here and the navy colour is super cute.
The new tiny breadboard and ice cream dishes that were a part of the Christmas packs I bought from Kmart have been added to our bench top.
Some new pedestal mugs from Bed, Bath and Table have joined our Nespresso machine. You can find these two here and here.
And this cute watermelon tea towel has been added to my tea towel collection. I have a fetish for cute tea towels and anything watermelon at the moment does it for me.
So that's it. A little update on our kitchen and a quick tip: If you feel like the house is a little out of control - start cleaning in the kitchen first. A clean and tidy kitchen always makes such a difference to the feel of the house. But remember - there is nothing as important as time with your family. Family first, mess second. That's the motto around here.
What room do you start in when you tidy your home?
